PSC (Protective Services Committee) – The Protective Services Committee is responsible with reviewing our collective agreement. They work diligently to prepare a revised document (brief) that will be presented during negotiations. Members from this committee participate in negotiations with the Board.
This group typically meets between 4-6 times a year, except for during bargaining years where meetings become far more frequent.
Constitution Committee – The Constitution Committee is responsible for reviewing the OTBU constitution (the document that describes our organization and what roles and responsibilities each person involved has). The committee will suggest amendments (possible language changes) which the entire membership can vote on at our AGM (Annual General Meeting, that the entire membership can attend).
This committee meets between 1-3 times a year.
Budget Committee – The Budget Committee is responsible for reviewing our past budgets to draft a budget for the upcoming federation year (July 1st – June 30th). This budget that the committee creates is presented at the AGM (Annual General Meeting, that the entire membership can attend).
